Fallafen was started by screenwriter and script supervisor Nick Hedley.​


Using personal experiences of mental illness, Nick focusing on characters whose mental illnesses are strengths rather than weaknesses, with the aim is to remove the stigma of mental health, while not making it the defining qualities of the characters.

​Following an early diagnosis of dyslexia, Nick used screenwriting as a way to focus on his unusually fast visual and expressive skills to help create and tell stories. Nick's current film and TV scripts cover genres such as Drama, Action, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Tragicomedy and Adventure. Subjects include climate change, crime, espionage, coming-of-age, family and isolation. 


Nick's film education includes courses at London Film Academy, Raindance Film School and City Academy in Directing, Script Supervision, Film & TV Scriptwriting, Cinematography and Producing. Between 2009-2010, Nick undertook acting classes at Sylvia Young. 

Nick has worked in photography and media as a picture editor for over 19 years at TV studios, news channels, national newspapers and photography agencies .
