About

Fallafen was started by ASD1 Autistic screenwriter Nick Hedley.
Using personal experiences of mental illness, autism and neurodiversity, Nick focuses on characters whose mental illnesses are strengths, with the aim is to remove the stigma of mental health, while not making it the defining qualities of the characters.
Following an early diagnosis of dyslexia and dyspraxia, Nick used screen and theatre writing as a way to focus on his unusually fast visual and expressive skills to help create and tell stories. Nick's current film, television and theatre scripts cover genres such as Drama, Action, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Tragicomedy and Adventure. Subjects include climate change, crime, espionage, coming-of-age, family and isolation.
Nick's film education includes training at London Film Academy, Raindance Film School and City Academy in Directing, Script Supervision, Film & TV Scriptwriting, Cinematography and Producing. Between 2009-2011, Nick undertook acting classes at Sylvia Young and with acting coach Janey Clarke.
Nick has worked in photography and media as a picture editor for over 20 years at TV studios, news channels, national newspapers and photography agencies .
